A quick stop on the way home

We stopped by the Georgia Aquarium on our way home with Emma and her family. It was so fun to see the Belugas and otters again. Here are a few pictures from our stop:

Hallie even enjoyed the fish

Mommy loves the jellyfish

I love the whale

We sat for a long time in front of the big tank watching the fish

Saying goodbye was hard...

This Girl loves the Beach

Mommy says I was meant to live at the beach and I agree. I love the beach! I love everything about it - the sand, the sun, the water, the noises, the colors, the people, the animals. If I was on the beach, I was smiling (unless my feelings were hurt or I didn't get my way and then I cried.)

Hallie's not as crazy about the beach as I am

Already wishing we could go back...

Our new Beach

We went to a new beach this year. There was oil and yucky stuff at our old beach that mommy said she didn't want Hallie and I getting in our mouths so we tried out a new beach. It was different but fun. We went to Hilton Head in South Carolina. We were not on the beach like we used to be but there was a pool with all kinds of fun things. We got to ride bikes to the beach and saw lots of sea life and alligators. We had so much fun with our friends Perry and Emma and their families. It was a great trip!

Last First Day

I had my LAST first day of school at my little school I go to. I am so excited this year to have Ms. Jenny. I know her because a lot of my friends have had her. She is nice and her class is fun. There are lots of new rules in her class this year. I have to carry my big bag in all by myself. I also switched days and am in class with new friends. My favorite thing so far is art. We have an artist of the month that we talk about. This month is DaVinci. His paintings aren't very colorful like mine. I can't wait to learn more!

Goodbye Old Faithful

Our old and faithful splish splash pool bit the dust last week. I have had it since I was Hallie's age and have loved it dearly. It makes an appearance every year - sometimes more than others. Earlier this year Mommy got it out to play in and I jumped on it a little too hard and poked some holes in it. Daddy duct-taped it because that's what you do with duct tape. We got it back out for one last time and for Hallie to have fun in it. I don't think she liked quite as much as I did. But she sure did look cute. After that, Daddy turned on the sprinkler and we ran through it. Good times!

See August of 2006 to see how much I have grown....

What is that?

So while sister was gone a week ago, Mommy put me on the counter and said, "Let's eat". She started moving her hands in front of my face saying "Eat" "More" and "All Done". I was so confused but excited and happy. She mixed up some stuff and stuck something in my mouth. It wasn't bad. Now it did not look like the food she eats at the table but I will try it again. I finally grabbed the spoon because she was taking to long and sprayed the food all over me, the counter, and the floor. I am just messy. Its part of who I am.

Soccer has started

As you all know, soccer has started and I am having fun. The grass is itchy and I sometimes get tired of running. I play with friends from the neighborhood and my daddy is my coach. He has a whistle and a clipboard. I let him borrow both. I also have taught him some good stretches we can use at practice. We practice and then we play each other. Red Team against Blue Team. As of tonight, I scored my first two goals. We are all really good.

Cousins, cousins

Last weekend we went to see Mommy's Nana, aunts, cousins and their families. Hallie loved seeing Nana because she was loud and laughed a lot. Nana is my great grandmother, and she scares me a little bit because she can't talk but I am brave and sit near her. I love seeing all the girl cousins that come to play at Aunt Francye's house. They are so fun. Cousin Emily took care of Hallie for Mommy and Daddy, and Hallie loved it. I can't wait to go back.

What color will they be?

Mommy has been talking about how my eyes are changing colors. She says some days they are blue; some days they are brown; some days they are gray. Carlisle thinks my eyes are purple a lot. Really they are sometimes brown in the middle and blue around the edge. Though one eye is definitely more mixed than the other. So maybe I will have one blue and one brown. Too early to tell!

How cute am I?

Well my Mommy and little sister are cute too. I really think I look cute in my soccer outfit, don't you? I am on the red team. My daddy is the coach. My friends are on the team and we have snacks after the game. Its fun, but sometimes I get thirsty, tired from running, or itchy from the grass.

They are pretty cute....

Just another shot

Just another shot of how I sleep...apparently Mommy finds it funny - me all covered up past my eyeballs.

Climibing to new heights

Hello all! I have been enjoying the summer still since school has not started yet. We recently went to see Uncle Andrew at his place because he left for Africa for 6 weeks. I wanted to go climb his rock wall before he left. He has all these places I can climb and hang in his garage, and then he has a bunch of beds on the floor. I love to climb. He even let me put chalk on my hands because I was getting blisters. The more chalk the better Uncle Andrew said....

New findings

Mommy says I am loud and wet...all the time. Well, I tell you what else I am, I am in love with my feet! I found them a few weeks ago and boy are they fun. I love to suck on my toes and grab them. I get upset when I can not reach them because I am locked into something like my carseat or a swing.

I also found sitting to be a much more enjoyable position. As of today's posting, I can sit unassisted and without putting my hands down on the floor for a few minutes before I weeble-wobble over to the floor. Pretty impressive, huh?

Hallie Mae
