My debut as an Indian

Hi all! Well add Indian to my resume because I made a good one! My school had our Thanksgiving Feast last week. Only the BIG kids get to participate so this was my first year because I am a BIG kid. We invited our families to watch the show and eat with us. My class was Indians and the other class were pilgrims. We sang songs about Indians, Pilgrims, and Turkeys. We beat our drums and square danced. My partner was sick so I had to be Ms. Jenny's partner. Then we had to pick one of our guests to dance in our place. I had to choose between Mommy and Daddy and that was hard but I chose Daddy so Mommy could take pictures. I think he did okay and remembered all of the steps. Ms. Jenny chose a few students from our class to stand up and say what we were thankful for. We had to hold up a card that showed our face as we said it. She chose me as part of the group. When it was my turn, I spoke real loud and clear and said, "I am thankful for Baby Jesus!" We also sang "This is the Day" and our blessing for our meal. At the table we had to show our good manners we have learned in class. I was so proud of my performance that I wore my outfit the rest of the day through all of our errands. Later when mommy asked me what my favorite part of the performance was, I said "The Meal!" Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

My Favorite Spot

I thought I would share with you all my favorite spot in the house. Mommy plants me in the kitchen on the floor while she is cooking. I make my way away from my toys and play mat and go exploring. I usually head to drawer and pull it open until I get stuck underneath it and cry. Mommy returns me to my play mat. Then she opens this shiny door and my eyes light up. I drop what I am playing with and quickly crawl to the open door. Oh how I love to stand beside the door!

Crawling

Crawling is foreign word in our house...until now. I have taught everyone how it is done. You see, my sister never crawled until now as she is trying ti show me how to crawl but really I am showing her. I am now going everywhere. If I see something I want, I will be there quickly to retrieve the item I desire. I am also pulling up to standing and opening drawers and cabinets. Mommy can't capture those mmoments because I am usually precariously balancing and about to fall over...and crying. Daddy said he is not ready for this. Mommy is moving this around the house where I can't get to them. Carlisle is screaming when I move towards her stuff. Things are different around here. They all better watch out!

Teeth

I had another photo session with Mommy one morning when we were by ourselves. She said she was trying to capture my new teeth since they have come in enough to be seen. I participated for a minute. Then I started to drool, then stick out my tongue, and then crawl. I was done.

Still

***Warning, nakedness is about to be seen***. Mommy has been trying to get a picture of me on my diaper changer (as she has done with my Big Sis) but I am showing her that I am doing things my way. My sister sat still and posed for the pictures (supposedly cute with a naked Carlisle smiling sweetly). Well, here I am and what I do once placed on the diaper changer. I can't stay still!

Chubby Cheeks

Hi all! Mommy took a quiet moment with just me at home to capture a moment she captured with Big Sis. Enjoy! (You can see Carlisle's moment under July 2006, A Bath at Church)

Halloween 2010

We had a great night on Halloween. I was Annie and full of pep as I skipped down the street collecting treats. Hallie was a chicken and enjoyed being strolled around looking at all the crazy outfits. Mommy told me to tell people "thank you" or I would get tricks so I tested her theory and still got treats. I told her this and she told me we would go home if I didn't start showing appreciation for the treats. We had a good night after that!

I am a stinker

My momma calls me a stinker. Am I? Well, she finds me like this (below) when she comes to get me from a nap. So Daddy moved my crib down a little more. I also like to play with my mobile and pull on the animals. Mommy says this will break the mobile. Its there for me to grab....I am crawling but I am sneaky about it. Its not really crawling but if you blink, I have moved to a different position or place. I really like to stand and pull up so I may just skip crawling. So am I a stinker?

She knows she's a stinker

Fallfest 2010

We had our annual Fallfest at my school this month. I love the event and love that we go. This was Hallie's first time to go. She didn't really like her costume though she was pretty cute. I was Annie, and she was a chicken. This was my outfit when I was a baby. I was pretty cute too. We had a great night playing on the jumpies, watching the magic show and balloon man, riding the ponies, petting the animals, and playing games. I did have a sad moment when I got stung by a wasp. I was brave and continued to play after it happened. Next year I will go as Hallie's big sister at her school!

Painting Pumpkins

Miss Whitney came over for Taco Night (we actually had burritos this time, but she is always there for taco night). She came with paints and brushes this time, and we painted pumpkins. I had so much fun and enjoyed spending time with her. I did not get a picture with her because we forgot. But we got pictures of the beautiful art!

Where veggies come from

We went on a Sunday afternoon to the farm where are vegetable box comes from. We got to see the land where the crops are grown and go on a hayride. We also saw where they keep the veggies after they pick them. It was a big farm. While I have not enjoyed all of the vegetables, I have enjoyed going to get the box and helping upack it and learning about the different foods.

Uncle Andrew went to Africa

My Uncle Andrew went to Africa for a long time. He went to help kids there who don't have Mommies and Daddies. And he took some gifts to Aischa, a girl we sponsor. He had a great time but I sure was glad to see him in the airport.

My sign I made for him so he would know it was me (I dressed in Memphis blue for him)

He's great don't you think?

A new pumpkin patch

My friend Lindy turned five. She's older than me. She celebrated her birthday at a local pumpkin patch though my mommy kepy telling me it was just a farm. It was so fun! There were lots of animals to pet and feed, and a huge play area. I spent most of my time on the giant slide. Mommy even went down once with Hallie. It was funny. Can't wait to go back next Fall. And Happy Birthday Lindy!

Lots of cute sheep, lambs, goats

The end of Soccer

The end of my firs soccer season has come and gone, and boy, was it fun! I loved every minute of it. Daddy said he was proud of me because I was never had my hand raised to volunteer to sit on the bench. I loved being there with my friends and the snacks. I did score 2 goals. Here are some pictures from one of them:

Daddy's Birthday

We celebrated Daddy's birthday with a fun-filled weekend. mommy and I made chocolate cupcakes with icing and sprinkles. I helped with making everything! The extra sprinkles made them great. We watched Pouncer and the Memphis Basketball Team on Memphis Madness, headed to the farm where our veggies come from to have fun, and celebrated Daddy a bunch. I wanted to have a Football and Basketball party for him but he didn't want a party. I didn't really understand this, but he said he had a great birthday.
