Big Changes

Things are changing around here. I was invited to my first sleepover birthday party back in January. Mommy and Daddy has a rule of no sleepovers so far. BUT they let me go! It was on our street so I wasn't far away. I was so excited. They party host said I did great. I did what was asked of me, never complained, and went to bed on time. I was tired in the morning and was ready to go when Mommy came to get me. I am such a BIG girl!

Mommy also had a BIG birthday in January. We celebrated in a grand style. Daddy made homemade red velvet brownies - yum! We made her feel very special.

The things I do

Life is never dull around here. I am always finding new things and getting into things. Mommy says I am a mess. I can quickly tear apart a drawer or zero in on the smallest piece of food scrap or dust on the floor and head for it to stick in my mouth. Mommy and Daddy have had to put the gate up on the top of the stairs. I can shake it so hard that they fear it will come down. I also really like to climb up the stairs and when I am carried up the stairs, I try to reach down for the steps to climb up them. I am determined.

This is my favorite spot in the kitchen now. There are always lots of treasures under here.

I know that Carlisle has different toys than I do and I like to "play" with them.

When I wake from my naps, I am usually very quiet and do not cry out for someone to come get me. Instead I play in my crib with my toys.

We eat popcorn at this house, and I wanted some one day when it was not offered to me. So I helped myself before Mommy could get it away. I love it and can't get enough.

Hallie Mae

I Love Food

Since the holiday break, Mommy and Daddy have been letting me eat the food they eat. And I love it! I can't get enough. One night I ate an entire sloppy joe by myself! My favorite things are blueberries and spaghetti. Yum!

Winter is almost gone

Such a long time has passed since we last posted. A LOT has been going on at my house. Mommy had ear surgery. Hallie had ear surgery. And we have been to the doctor a lot. Mommy says that is all behind us. So we now have some time to catch up on things. It snowed a lot this winter. In January, when it snowed, Daddy and I went outside to see if we could build a snow fort. Hallie and Mommy watched from inside. Later, while Hallie napped we made a snowgirl named Daffdee - not to be outdone by the snowmen down the street - a golfer and an Auburn football player.
