My Last Swim Lessons

Mommy said I would never have to take swim lessons again if I swam the lnegth of the pool. Well, I did it (well, almost and with some help). I also get to go to Build-A-Bear if I can swim across our pool AND go down and pick up a dive stick off the bottom. The water is too cold to do this right now but I am counting down the days.

Here I am at my lessons swimming from halfway.

And with my kick board.

A few more pictures from dance

I have a few last pictures to share from my dance performance.

Here I am patiently waiting my turnn to get my trophy.

Then I gave her a kiss.

What a treat! My friend Perry came to watch me dance.

Me with Mommy and Daddy.

My teacher Ms. Donna. She is the best!

Walk Like an Egyptian

Part of our show was to the song "Walk Like an Egyptian". Do you know that song? Our version has little kids singing it. It was my favorite part of our performance.

This is the "way-o, way-o, way-o, way-o" part.

Carlie and I looking like Egyptians.

My cartwheel. Improved a bunch from the beginning of the year.

The end.

My Final Kinderdance Performance

Two weeks ago I had my final kinderdance performance. Mommy said it was awesome. She said it was neat to see how far all the girls had come with their moevements and skills. Take a look.

We were running late to the show, but Mommy got me quickly ready. Pretty good, huh?

Notice how nice and round my arms are.

Mollie and I are doing the waltz.

I am SKIPPING BACKWARDS! Woo Hoo! I have come a long way from last year.

More stories to come.

Parting shots from the Celebration

Here are some parting shots from the Celebration.

Me and My buddy John Mark

Me and my friend Andrew. He has been in my class for 2 years and will go to kindergarten with me.

Me and Lindy.

Me and Ty with Ms. Linda. Ms. Linda was our first teacher when we were babies. Ty and I haven't been in class together since then until this year. Mommy started crying when we sat on her lap. She said we were almost too big for Ms. Linda's lap.

I am so blessed to have such a great school to go to.

More from the End of the Year Celebration

I have a few more things from the Celebration I want to share. I received a medal from my Kindermotion Teacher, Ms. Donna (she's also my dance teacher). We go to her once a week to learn things like skipping, throwing and catching, and obstacles courses. I thought my medal was pretty cool.

My friend Mollie and I are looking at our medals.

Then all the classes sang a song called "I get a good feeling when I give". At one point int he song, we were supposed to hug our partner, but my partner wasn't there. I had to hug another group. It was silly!

At the end of the performance, Ms. Mollie called each student's name to come get a "gift certificate" saying we had completed the dayschool. Here I am receiving mine.

And here I am with Ms. Mollie and my gift certificate.

My End of the Year Celebration

Since this is my last year at my school, I had an End of the Year Celebration. The 4 and 5 year old classes have this. We sing songs and show some of the things we learned to our families and friends. This is my class with two other classes.

My class sang a song about the dyas of the week. We had to move an arm or a leg to the word when a day of the week was said. This was Monday.

This was Wednesday.

Then we sand a song about the four seasons of the year. I was in the spring group. We had to wave our scarf and then throw it up and catch it.

More pictures to come!

Spring Soccer is finished

I think I posted that Spring Soccer was going on and maybe even finished. Well here are pictures from my team and last game where we played our Mommies and Daddies. We won! Then here is a picture of my trophy - a job well done!

Cicadas

The cicadas are here and they are loud! They have been here for about one month. At first they were neat. Mommy would pick one up near my school and show me. Now they are everywhere. One even got in our car! They are loud. You can hear them through the house. We really don't have them in our yard because our house is new but they are flying into our yard. One night we drove to the pool area because that part is older with big trees. We found shells, cicadas, and more shells and cicadas.

I like to do it myself

Mommy and Daddy said that they heard a second child does things earlier than the first child. And for the most part that is true with me. Lately, I like to try and feed myself. It makes for a long meal, but I think it's fun!

Hugs,
Hallie Mae

My first egg hunt

Hi all! I fianlly got a chance to update you with something I did. I went to my first egg hunt this year and caught in quick to what I was supposed to do. Mommy handed me the basket, and I walked up to the first egg i saw and put it in the basket. Carlisle and I also had our picture made with the Big Bunny but I didn't care too much for him.

When we got home with our eggs, the candy was all melted so we had to wait to eat it. I was sad. I was also sad that not all the eggs had soemthing to eat in them.

Hugs,
Hallie Mae

Happy Mother's Day

We celebrated Mother's Day a few weeks ago but I thought we outdid ourselves and it deserved to be shared. I got Mommy a new coffee cup with my picture and Hallie's picture on it. Her favorite coffee cup broke so I thought she needed a new one. Daddy fixed crepes with blueberries and cheese. Yum! (I actually did not like them but Mommy did). And to finish the day, we took a picture (with tears).

Dayschool Program

I almost forgot to show you pictures from my school program that was back in March. The program's theme was Children Around the World. My class was the calypso group. We danced to "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid. While my teacher said there was not an Ariel in our group, I pretended I was.

The girls in our class wore this cute mermaid skirt.

We had to wait and listen to the music for when to staart.

Then we had to shake our maracas to the beat of the music.

We had to change lines (walking backwards) and skip in a circle. We had to freestyle dance which was fun. Then we had a big finish!

Dylan's Graduation

In May we went to see my oldest cousin Dylan graduate from high school. I got to hang out with his family and eat lunch before the graduation.

Then I played with his brothers Grayson and Holden after lunch while we waited to leave for the event. We played fuse ball. I think I won.

Aunt Michelle was there and she was funny trying to keep Hallie smiling for the camera.

During the graduation, I got a little fidgety abut Aunt Cindy brought me some colors. We got to see Dylan walk across the stage with his funny hat on. Here is his family after graduation. Mommy says we are so proud of him.
